Residential Painter

Shop Dog Studios provides home remodeling services and custom cabinetry throughout Western New York. We are an established company that is constantly growing and looking to hire an experienced painter for our residential jobs. We offer full-time, year-round work and take projects from design through construction to the final punch list.

Residential Painter Job Responsibilities:

• Surface Preparation: Preparing walls, ceilings, trim, and other surfaces by filling, caulking, sanding, and cleaning to ensure a smooth finish and proper paint adhesion.
• Painting Application: Applying paints, stains, and other finishes using brushes and rollers for high-quality results.
• Detail Work: Performing precise touch-ups and finishing touches to walls, ceilings, trim and cabinetry to achieve a high-end look.
• Drywall Finishing: Performing drywall finishing tasks, including mudding, sanding, patching, and priming to create smooth, paint-ready surfaces.
• Equipment Maintenance: Cleaning and maintaining brushes, rollers, trays, and other painting equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Site Clean-Up: Maintaining a clean and organized work area during and after job completion and always respecting the client and their property.
• Inventory Management: Taking stock of painting supplies and materials, and placing orders as needed to ensure an adequate inventory for ongoing and upcoming projects.
• Quality Control: Inspecting finished pieces for runs, drips, or other imperfections, ensuring surfaces are flawless and ready for installation.

The ideal candidate does not necessarily possess all the skills above but has several years of experience with on-site commercial or residential painting. Candidates are required to have a valid license, reliable transportation, and be willing to travel within a 15 mile radius in WNY. We work in high-end homes and are looking for individuals that are honest, hardworking, detail oriented, and can follow directions when working alone or in a team setting.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
