What are the responsibilities and job description for the Videographer position at Shop LC?
Who you are: A quick-thinking visual storyteller that can handle making videos of all shapes and sizes, from producing commercial videos for a national audience to grabbing quick clips on your phone to help support a social media campaign. A strong interest in jewelry, fashion, skincare, and home products is preferred. Versatility is essential. You are curious and self-motivated with a knack for creative problem-solving. You aren’t easily scared by tight deadlines, and you have experience balancing the desires of the client with the needs of the customer. You enjoy working and brainstorming with a quirky creative team, but also know how to knock out a video assignment single-handedly. You have a soft spot for home shopping, and you are full of video ideas that will keep our brand fun and relevant.
- Create engaging infomercials for any and all content needs
- Assist in the creation of digital marketing campaigns in collaboration with our Marketing and Creative Teams
- Understand our brand, vision, mission, and most importantly our products in relation to creating video content
- Create compelling direct response video ads for platforms like Facebook
- Shoot and edit high-converting direct response, both on social & traditional videos
- Make eye-catching videos that tell the story and purpose of a product in an authentic and motivating way
- Edit, retouch, and master videos with quick turnarounds
- Explore latest and unique production processes and procedures
- Develop, write, storyboard, direct, and edit commercial spots for TV, Web, and Social
- Participate in brainstorming sessions and have creative input
- Comply with company policies and procedures
- All other duties as assigned by manager
SKILLS OR EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in multimedia, film, or communications with three or more years of video production (full-time filming and/or editing) experience with a proven and demonstrable work experience as a Video Content Specialist with a portfolio that demonstrates hands on experience in key areas of direct response video ad creation
- Demonstrate high command video and sound engineering techniques through sophisticated craftsmanship
- Video or reel portfolio
- 2D Animation, Graphic Design or After Effects
- Strong familiarity with camera technologies (cinema cameras, DSLR, mirrorless)
- Direct response/infomercial experience is a must
- Must be able to create, produce, direct, edit, and manage media content with tight deadlines.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced 24/7/365 retail environment
- Work independently and/or with a team to deliver quick-turnaround projects
- Ability to shift gears with ease between a wide range of projects
- Knowledge of Adobe Suite is a must with focus on Premiere, After Effects, and Photoshop
- Ability to effectively utilize various software applications including Microsoft Office Suite
- Attention to detail and follow through are essential
- Strong professional and interpersonal skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- May require domestic or international travel

A subsidiary of VGL, TJC was established in London, UK in 2006 and now broadcasts live to 25 million homes in the US as well as serves customers through the website TJC.co.uk. TJC ships approx. 12000 products to its UK customers every day. TJC employs approx. 220 people in London in various divisions like LC with extended teams in India.
