WHO ARE WE?
Whitetail Club is situated on the sandy shores of Payette Lake in beautiful McCall Idaho, we are a family-friendly atmosphere often described as being fun, spirited, warm and caring. The majority of our members and guests return to a place they call “home.” All of our staff specialize, and are well-qualified in one of the myriad activities we offer at Whitetail Club. We provide instruction to single individuals or small groups of guests organized according by age and skill level. All necessary equipment is provided.
NORDIC INSTRUCTOR SUMMARY: Our successful Nordic Instructor will teach various levels from basic instruction and skills to advanced levels and techniques to more experienced guests. Individual skills are taught and emphasized during all activities. Previous coaching and/or college-level experience is preferred but not required.
Small group instruction is stressed to provide guests with individual practice to learn and develop skills.

Outgoing personality, professionalism and willingness to have fun with participants in a safe learning environment.
Maintain an overall positive attitude coupled with excellent communication skills
Possess an enthusiasm for skiing and educate all ages and ability levels
WHAT YOU GET TO DO:
Instruct both private and group Nordic lessons, and keep customer service at its highest level for members and guests.
Actively teach, offer ski tips and assist members and guests getting into ski equipment
Inform guests of the potential for lessons.
Be an ambassador to all guests; greet guests, answer questions and promote our products, services, programs, and the Club.
Provide accurate information to participants regarding trails, all area facilities and services, operating hours, current events and promotions, etc. in a courteous and helpful manner.
Identify skill level in clients and adapt demonstrations to their developmental level and physical abilities, as well as splitting them into appropriate groups when needed.
Identify different learning styles among clients and effectively demonstrate different teaching styles for success.
Respond quickly and effectively to a wide variety of situations including possible emergencies while maintaining composure and keeping clients calm.
Participate in community and/or charity events as necessary
Keep accurate records and schedules
Assist with trail maintenance
Requirements
WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:
High school Diploma or equivalent
Athletics: 1 year
At least 1 year experience in Nordic instruction
Candidates must have proven job stability through strong work history
Must be able to demonstrate superior Nordic ability
