Shoreline Optometry sits near the heart of Silicon Valley in Mountain View serving the eyecare and vision needs of thousands of Bay Area residents and their families since 1989. We pride ourselves on partnering with our patients to provide personalized care and finding the best solutions for their needs and we’re currently seeking a new team member who shares our vision.

About Our Team:
You will join a small team of Opticians and partner together to provide high-quality service to our patients by helping them find the best eyewear that fits their needs. The Optical Team also partners closely with our Optometric Technician Team, Front Office Staff, Billing Team, and Doctors to provide an awesome a seamless experience for all of our patients.

About You:

● You have excellent customer service and communication skills.
● You’re a team player. You will pitch in and lend a hand where needed.
● You have experience working with electronic medical records.
● You have knowledge of current lens types and materials as well as frame options.
● You have an understanding of HIPPA compliance.
● You have at least 3 years of experience as an optician within a private practice setting.
● You are willing to work in a full-time capacity (Monday through Friday).
● High School diploma or equivalent is preferred.

What You’ll Do:

● Work with patients on frame & lens options, and make professional recommendations.
● Dispense glasses and contact lenses to patients.
● Take eyewear measurements as well as adjust eyewear for a great fit.
● Verify incoming orders.
● Ensure patients are notified in a timely manner that their order has arrived.
● Operate in accordance with HIPAA certifications.
● Answering patient calls.
● Triage incoming patients in person and on the phone.
● Provide excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
● Frame inventory management, including frame purchasing and returns.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $28.00 - $32.00 per hour
