Entry-Level Veterinary Assistant
ShotVet is looking for individuals who have a passion for helping and providing care to dogs and cats. We are a family-owned business that offers individuals to gain experience working with animals and have fun while doing it! Our Veterinary Assistants provide professional, efficient and exceptional service at all times, making sure all pets
receive the highest level of care.
ShotVet is the fastest growing mobile pet clinic company in the country! Our teams road trip to our partner stores such as PetSmart, Petco, CVS, etc. every Saturday and Sunday with our veterinarians to vaccinate and care for pets. If you are cool with road tripping - and working on weekends, we would love to hear from you!
Our company is built on integrity and creating magic moments for pets and their parents! You also must truly love dogs and cats and be excited to help the lines of pets who need our care. While also providing some heart-felt love and hugs to our four-legged friends!
Experience is preferred but not required.
Texas Location Specifics:
Our headquarters is located in College Station, TX.
Teams cover routes throughout Texas locally (Dallas, Houston, San Antonio, & Austin).
Teams travel into Louisiana monthly.
Skills:
Punctuality and dependability.
Professional appearance - we provide scrub tops.
Aptitude to learn how to properly restrain dogs and cats.
Interest in learning and handling vaccines, tests, Rx properly.
Comfortable learning, communicating and recommending vaccines, flea and tick products to pet parents.
Ability to work well within a team.
Excellent customer service skills.
Valid driver’s license is necessary to help with driving.
Willingness to travel in company work vehicles to surrounding towns/states.
Fridays, Saturday and Sunday shifts are required. Most of your hours will be on weekends, and travel is mandatory.
Background check and drug screens required as you are handling vehicles and sharps.
