Samaritan Health Services is seeking a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, or Psychologist to join our team in Albany, OR.

Job Specifics
- Consult and collaborate on a multidisciplinary team to provide integrated on-site care, recommendations, and feedback to medical providers and allied staff
- Have a clearly distinguished role from specialty mental health therapist practice model
- Practice in a population-based practice management strategy with flexibility to be interrupted to respond to urgent/emergency situations and “curb-side consults”
- Utilize brief behavioral visits (20-30 minutes), generally for 6-8 sessions per episode of care, which are provided in the primary care practice area and are seen as a routine primary care service
- As part of the largest primary care clinic within the Samaritan system, partner with two other behavioral health consultants within the same practice
- Provide assessments, screening, or intervention services for 10 patients per day for a 5 days/wk or 12.5 patients per day with 4 days/wk with the primary goal of assisting the primary care providers with identification, treatment, and management of mental and behavioral health concerns
- Consults on mild to moderate psychological distress, behavioral problems/conditions, exacerbating chronic medical conditions including chronic pain.
- Opportunity to teach, or otherwise engage with psychology residents and fellows
- Day shift with no call coverage
Job Requirements
- Currently licensed/license eligible in Oregon in psychology, social work, or other appropriate clinical therapy and must meet credentialing standards
- Experience with evidence based, short term psychotherapy modalities
- Knowledge of ethical standards and Oregon state law pertaining to the practice of therapy for the specific license held
- Multicultural awareness and skills in a clinical setting
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a multi-disciplinary setting including medical and mental health services
- Teaching/instruction/outreach preferred
- Knowledge/experience with electronic medical records and HIPAA
- Group therapy experience
- Ability to do therapy in Spanish preferred
