As the Project Manager, Project Management Office (PMO) you will provide leadership and overall project management for essential strategic corporate initiatives to include definition, recommendation, implementation and evaluation of work in accordance with Enterprise and Corporate Project Governance process framework and project priorities. In this role, you will work on transformation projects that collaborate across multiple divisions, with a global emphasis and impact on Shure's success. You will ensure key deliverables are met and resolve barriers or issues that may arise.
This role will enable you to lead personnel activity supervision over project management team members to achieve cross-functional team project outcomes and business objectives. Additionally, you will develop and evaluate personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.
This role is hybrid based in Niles, IL. We will also consider remote applicants for this position.
Responsibilities
Project Management
- Provides overall project management leadership through coordination for assigned Corporate Projects or support to Corporate Project teams
- Works with PMs, Project Sponsors, and Process Owners and other stakeholders to educate, adhere and follow the CPG Process Framework for implementing Corporate Projects
- Coordinate project meetings as necessary to support key deliverables for assigned projects
- Monitors metrics to improve quality and quantitative measures of all project outcomes and engagement
- Oversees plans and directs schedules and provides recommendations on project budgets to Associate Director
- Provides tactical execution of projects from beginning to end. Oversees and monitors project activities and interdepartmental meetings; ensures communication facilitates the completion of each of the key project milestones
Facilitation & Communication
- Lead, assist and/or support Corporate Projects by facilitating Project Kickoff meetings and/or Business Requirements Workshops. Seeks input from project management specialists and provides feedback and recommendations to Associate Director.
- Assist CP teams in Communication planning/execution, Change Management, Training and UAT to support successful completion of corporate projects
- Assist in communicating project progress, barriers, issues and accomplishments of projects to CPG as necessary
- Proactive identify risks and recommend mitigation plans to address in support of corporate projects
Process Management
- Works with the Business to document As-Is and To-Be Processes for assigned projects. Ensures consistent and appropriate templates for projects.
- Recommends process improvement opportunities to overall CPG process and/or business processes
- Support the CPG process by assisting business to monitor results post launch, capture lessons learned and share with other project owners.
- Provide Content Management support for the CPG SharePoint site, CPG Toolkit and other resource materials.
- Perform related duties as assigned by manager
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field
- A minimum of 7 years of progressive experience with knowledge of project management (agile and waterfall methodologies) and learns to apply and oversee these concepts, and three years of direct supervision experience of project management employees.
- Excellent people skills, with the ability to influence without authority
- Experience with working with IT projects as well as a working knowledge of SAP is a plus
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate
- Excellent computer proficiency (Project Management Tools, MS Office – Word, Excel, Project, Visio and Outlook)
- Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude
- Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given
- Travel may be required 1 to 2 times a year
