Job Summary:
This is an advanced level position that detail in interior and exterior door manufacturing and the components required in the process. The Quality Control position will be responsible for the production quality and specifications of the components and end product on both the interior and exterior door and exterior door lines. Applicant should have a basic knowledge of building industry practices and expectations. Responsibilities include:
- Awareness of the specification and company standards
- working with production and receiving to ensure quality and specification
- Ability to coach and guide team members on the line to meet the standards
- Work with management in all phases when issues come about
- Having a pride in the final product
Applicant must be able to read and interpret workorders and specific paperwork related to the doors. Some lifting may be required to man this position properly.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift interior and exterior door units with proper technique
- Must be able to work in seasonal temperatures
- Must be able to be on your feet throughout the work shift
- Must be able to work safely and efficiently within the company's safety and guideline standards
- Be able to work overtime, approximately 50 hours weekly, including occasional Saturdays
Educational Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be able to read and interpret paperwork to ensure accuracy
- Willing to perform other assigned tasks
