ABOUT THE ROLE:

1 year min of AV experience
On resume, look for PC, Mac and also AV experience called out
Should have experience with D10.
People familiar with film, tv broadcast, hospitality (hospital). Any familiarity with AV stuff. Zoom meeting is huge. Do they know what a D10 is? We use that a lot in our meeting spaces

AV Tech Project or Assignment summary:
This is a temporary on-site role for an AV Tech. The AV Tech will be responsible for the day-to-day tasks associated with audio visual (AV) systems, troubleshooting, video conferencing, lighting, and projectors. The AV Tech will ensure the smooth operation and setup of AV equipment, as well as provide technical support during events. The AV Tech will work alongside the Supervisor, Event Services, AV Sales Manager, and UCLA hospitality and events teams to manage live event services for the IT-managed spaces including the Luskin Conference Center, The Hill, Lake Arrowhead Conference Center, and other central IT events across the UCLA enterprise.

Desired Qualifications:

2 years of production experience in a hotel, church, university events, or other entertainment venues
Supports event services through operation, setup and teardown, and maintenance of live event production technologies. Responds promptly, in person and by phone
Internship experience at television stations or production companies are an asset.
Familiarity with all aspects of events, conferences and remote production operations
Ability to operate with significant autonomy and discretion and with a team equally
Responds to complex customer requests in a timely fashion troubleshooting common AV issue including hardware, software, and network systems
Must be extremely proficient in administrative tasks and on a Mac/PC - Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word and OneDrive are musts.
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced work environment. Attention to detail and ability to rapidly prioritize daily tasks and administrative responsibilities.
Superb organizational and time management skills.
Capable of meeting deadlines and working with daily time constraints
Engage with employees and clients in a positive and collaborative manner.
Prompt and informed decision making based on anticipating needs.
Professional judgment for handling confidential information
Excellent written and verbal communications; professional telephone etiquette
