POSITION SUMMARY:

This position has primary responsibility for providing safety project management and integration support to SICK’s North American subsidiaries and customers. Emphasis is on implementation of SICK safety services and solutions to achieve revenue growth.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support SICK customers regarding safety applications, product selection, and start-up.
  • Interface to the field and customers regarding application and service matters. Improve support capabilities and participation in delivery of integration services.
  • Build and maintain strong and effective business relationship with customers to confirm needs around safety services and solution opportunities.
  • Build up safety competence and support North American sales and service force during startup projects.
  • Interface to technical departments in the corporate headquarters.
  • Stay up-to-date on the development of the North American safety regulation and relevant standards.
  • Carry out other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned or required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and Experience:
  • Associates degree in engineering or other related technical discipline.
  • Bachelor’s degree a plus.
  • 3 years of experience in safety field including implementation of safety circuit and safety controls and interpreting application standards.

Other Qualifications:

  • A high degree of competence in safety standards, safety interface technology, and fieldbus systems.
  • Capably to manage projects for management of customer applications and proposed solutions.
  • Ability to interface with internal and external customers.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills in order to effectively interface with individuals both inside and outside the organization from a technical perspective regarding SICK products.
  • Good documentation skills, ability to establish processes and develop tools to ensure competence transfer.
  • Computer proficiency with Microsoft (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Internet applications.
  • Ability and willingness to work alternative schedules including weekend, and on-call hours as needed.
  • Legally permitted to work in the United States.
  • Ability to work in a general office environment.
