Job Summary
The Satellite Systems Engineer will be part of the team responsible for the design, development, assembly, integration, test, and verification lifecycle activities for development and sustainment of satellites and related technologies.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop specifications, interface control documents, test plans, test procedures, test reports to support launch services, structural design, satellite operations, instrumentation, communication, propulsion, and ground systems integration.
- Collaborate with cross functional teams to maintain and troubleshoot the technology systems associated with supporting ground and space systems and subsystems.
- Installing, testing, and redesign of related technologies supporting satellites, ground, and mission systems.
- Maintain files and records as required including verification cross reference matrices, test results, and data files related to verification activities.
- Communicate professionally and effectively with internal and external customers.
- Treat all coworkers with respect and dignity ensuring a collaborative culture is continually developed and maintained.

Required Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or other related field preferred. Equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.
- Three (3) years of broad engineering experience with systems architecture and design, systems documentation, systems requirements, and systems verification.
- Experience with DOORS, CRADLE, JAMA or other system engineering lifecycle tools.
- Familiar with NASA standards preferred.
- Proficiency in use of Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, and Microsoft Teams
Physical Requirements
- Stationary Work – occasionally exerting up to 10 pounds of force to transport objects, remaining mostly stationary, sometimes requiring moving about the work center on concrete surfaces
- Computer Work – daily use of laptop, computer monitor screen, keyboard, and mouse, sometimes utilizing a headset with microphone & speakers.
- Prolonged periods sitting or standing in an office environment
Travel Requirement
Able to travel <10% of the time
Shift/Schedule
This position is for the day shift generally working Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm
