The Summer Analyst Internship Program
What Is It About?
SWS’s Summer Analyst Internship Program is a competitive, 8-week program - with a Second Summer Corporate Finance Opportunity - that will teach you what the above paragraph means and expand your skills in a collaborative environment. At SWS, you will be introduced to corporate and public finance investment banking, learn about the Firm’s role in the financial services field, the relationship between banking and trading, and the financial products involved. Summer Analysts will assist junior bankers with financial modeling, conducting research, analyzing data, preparing pitch books, and providing general support to senior bankers.
The Second Summer Corporate Finance Opportunity is a collaborative partnership between SWS and the corporate finance/treasury departments of its clients in the manufacturing and biopharmaceutical industries. It allows students, who are especially interested in and have the desire to learn about both investment banking and corporate finance/treasury operations, the opportunity to see the financial services world from both perspectives. It also provides another avenue for alums of SWS’s program to gain valuable experience and access to future job opportunities. No additional application is necessary: SWS selects up to three of its current interns for placement consideration in a separate, 10-week paid internship that takes place in the following summer.
