Asa Commercial Sales Manager (Finance), you are responsible for managing the businessflow to ensure technical solutions provided adhere to Siemens Energy andcustomer commercial requirements and processes. You are a partner to Sales andSolutions Architects in developing and converting customer problems intoproposed solutions.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Collaboration with Sales and Solution Architecture in driving opportunities through bid process ensuring financial compliance with Siemens Energy business guidelines and supporting our Sales strategy.
- Take ownership and drive the commercial aspects of the bid, incl. developing a strategy for bid specific terms and conditions, tax and currency concepts, financial securities, terms of payments, insurances, and export control.
- Support the presentation of opportunities throughout the bid process for the GS CD NA organization, including the LoA process.
- Review and analyze financial and commercial components of internal/external customer proposals and review and evaluate customer terms.
- Design commercial solutions and support technical solutiondevelopment to address customer specific business problems.
- In cooperation with the Proposal Team ensure the accuracy of the cost and review pricing calculation.
- Participate in activities associated with order turnover to project execution and alignment of customer expectations.
- Identify and support the development of strategies, efficiencies, and responsibilities to turn proposals into orders and improve alignment/consistency of processes.
- Ensure compliance with Siemens Energy and local accounting guidelines.
- For cross border projects: Evaluate and determine appropriate trading model in compliance with relevant tax regulations per PATAC guidance.
- Identify any foreign currency risk within proposals and implement mitigation strategy.
- Support any Guarantee or letters of credit requirements identified during the bid phase.
- Lead order intake forecasting and order intake reporting.
- Support the order intake budget process.
- Supportactivity, pipeline, and revenue goals on a quarterly basis.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in finance/ Business Administration/ Accounting
- 5 years of professional experience in FIN
- Experience with strategic financial evaluations in project business
- Experience within contract negotiations, project management and financial project controlling, or cost estimations.
- Strong analytical skills
- The candidate should have demonstrated skills to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Ability to multi-task and work under pressure to meet deadlines is required.
- Candidate should be able to effectively communicate technical financial information to non-financial internal customers.
- Applicants must belegally authorized for employment in the United States without need for currentor future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees withcurrent visa sponsorship may beeligible for internal transfers.
