What are the responsibilities and job description for the General Labor position at Siemens Energy?
A Snapshot of Your Day
The primary purpose of this position is to perform a variety of duties in the assigned department with minimal supervision. Assist area in day-to-day processes and duties according to manufacturing and customer requirements.
How You’ll Make an Impact
o Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs), safety guidelines, and company policies to ensure consistent and compliant production processes.
o Identify and interpret JHAs related to assigned tasks.
o Operate department equipment and tooling as needed, such as but not limited to manual blast cabinets, dimensional fixtures, and pressure washers.
o Assist in performing minor adjustment and repairs to various department equipment, tools, and machines.
o Assist in performing preventative maintenance of department equipment including maintaining records and logs.
o Transport components to various workstations within the department and facility
o Assist in maintaining a clean work environment.
o Maintain and replenish department consumable materials.
o Retrieve and return tools and fixtures that are used for processing components.
What You Bring
- Entry level position - requires experience working in an industrial environment.
- Ability to obtain and maintain required certifications as required per department, such as but not limited to Forklift and Crane Operation.
Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
Competency Expectations: Three (3) Months
Working Conditions/Hazards: Standard – May be subject to extreme heat and dust conditions.
