The Parts Manager is responsible for managing customer order activity through the order fulfillment cycle. This includes receiving orders from internal as well as external customers, monitoring status, expediting as required, proactively communicating with the customer if there are changes or delays, and responding to customer inquiries.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Works with various and levels of management to resolve customer issues, both as an individual contributor and a facilitator of multi-disciplined teams.
- Demonstrate expertise in problem solving, bringing new ideas and creative solutions to existing processes and issues. This individual will act as a highly functioning team member to assist all within the department.
- Serve as an escalation point to assist in resolving issues with orders. The Parts Manager will embody the fact that they are the “Voice of the customer” within the company.
- Has a significant impact to the financial management of Siemen Energy’s revenue stream.
What You Bring
- High school diploma required; associate degree preferred.
- 8 years of a customer service-based business within the energy industry is required. Those with prior or current experience working with Siemens Energy customers, affiliates, systems, or processes, would be a plus.
- Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills. Experience with a MRP system or SAP System experience preferred. Must be proficient in Microsoft based applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams). Ability to work from home part of the time as well as travel to the Olean, NY Office part of the time. Travel Domestically 10% of the time as needed.
- Strong work ethic with minimal oversight, accountable for results in an assigned region. Structured and methodical approach to work, must be able to manage multiple moving dates/targets. Must possess expert independent analysis, decision-making skills, based on company gained knowledge of company policies and procedures to resolve non-standard challenges.
- Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
- As a federal contractor, Siemens Energy continues to monitor federal and state legal guidelines regarding the COVID-19 vaccine mandate. Siemens Energy is pausing its mandatory vaccine policy while the issue is addressed by the courts. SEI will monitor the situation closely and may reimplement its policy if required to comply with federal law. Should the vaccine policy be reimplemented, this position requires employees to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 unless they are granted a medical or religious accommodation.

In our Business Unit Industrial Applications, we offer comprehensive digital portfolio solutions in the oil and gas sector and other process industries comprising rotating equipment, electrification, and solutions for Subsea business.
The Siemens Energy Field Service department for industrial applications serves a growing market of small and medium gas turbines. Our personnel service the fleet across the USA and occasionally in Canada or abroad. Our personnel are highly trained and perform at a high level of expectation to safely provide OEM valued service to our clients.
Siemens Energy SAM IST supports the aftermarket parts and upgrades business for multiple Siemens owned Industrial Steam Turbine name plates. Our installed base is global, leading to interaction with diverse customers from around the globe, with impact on many industries. The primary objective of the Parts Management team is to ensure that commitments made to customers on parts orders are met in terms of OTD, Quality, and Cost.
