Job Description:
- Prepare and educate patients, ensuring informed consent and adherence to safety protocols. Monitor patient conditions during procedures and provide necessary care and support.
- Accurately prepare, administer, and document radiopharmaceuticals, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. Manage inventory and ensure proper storage and disposal of radioactive materials.
- Perform nuclear medicine imaging procedures, including SPECT and PET, ensuring high-quality results. Analyze imaging data and prepare preliminary reports for physician interpretation.
- Operate and maintain imaging equipment, conducting regular quality assurance tests. Identify and address equipment malfunctions, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Work closely with radiologists, physicians, and healthcare teams to deliver comprehensive patient care. Provide technical support and consultation regarding nuclear medicine procedures and findings.
- Adhere to all regulatory standards, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of industry requirements. Engage in continuing education to maintain certification and stay current with technological advancements.
Experience Required for Your Success
Education Requirement
- Certification Program - Graduate of accredited nuclear medicine technology school
Experience
- 2 years of experience working as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist and PET/CT
- Successful completion of a Nuclear Medicine clinical rotation during a formal education program
Licensure/Certifications
- ARRT or NMTCB CT Radiology Technologist Certification
- CPR and ARRT(N) registered and/or NMTCB registered
Salary : $32 - $40
