We are looking for an Advanced Process Associate for 1st Shift. This position will be based at our Buffalo Grove, IL location.
As the Advanced Process Associate, you will:
- Manufacture products using visual aids, wiring lists, blueprints, and written and verbal instructions and procedures.
- Uses hand, pneumatic and power tools, small to large machinery, material handling equipment and computer run equipment.
- Performs simple to complex setup and adjustments to products, equipment and processes.
- Conducts quality inspections consistently throughout the assembly process using testing and visual inspections.
- Uses manufacturing system to replenish components, check component availability, review BOM’s and routings, report production, troubleshoot transactions, analyze capacity and investigate process improvements.
- Obtains schedules or orders for designated team areas, assigns team members daily tasks, proposes and monitors overtime.
- Rotates between operations within a work cell as well as between work cells. Prepares work cell, team and area records.
- Uses specific support software tools for tasks such as labor analysis, data gathering, cell-status board (CSB), data analysis and graphing.
- Assists in developing and maintaining the team skills matrix and performs on the job training of other team members.
- Reports on issues and implements assigned actions at the Team Leader and Area GEMBA meetings.
- Works on production issues with Planner/Buyers, Quality Engineers Manufacturing Engineers, and other support personnel.
- Monitors team member efficiency, productivity, and adherence to plant rules, providing feedback to Area Supervisor.
- Leads team members in continuous improvement initiatives focused on Quality, Cost and Delivery

Basic Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Experience in team lead positions, directing and coordinating manufacturing task.
- Resolving team conflicts in a constructive manner.
- Ability to comprehend both written and spoken English language for purpose of understanding training/direction and to interpret assembly, test and equipment documentation.
- Must be able to work from visual aids, assembly drawings, wiring diagrams, ISO work instructions and test documentation.
- Ability to sit, stand, bend, push, pull or a combination of all movement types as required by and for the duration of the job assignment.
- Manual dexterity with capability to use hand tools (screwdrivers, pliers, soldering irons, wrenches, etc.), electric and pneumatic power tools and in-house developed product specific tooling/fixtures.
- Ability to lift and transfer 25 lbs. and normal strength requirements.
- Ability to perform precision adjustments and above average care in the assembly of products.
- Ability to make assembly decisions based on results of previous operations.
- Must be able to follow complex documentation to produce product.
- Ability to perform advanced rework and repair involving fault troubleshooting and complex recovery steps.
- Ability to recognize and analyze non-conforming support processes (i.e., metric measurement, ERP processes and administrative processes, etc) and implements corrective actions.
- Must be able to perform specific tasks using assigned software tools such as SAP, Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, CSB, etc.
- Possesses extensive hands-on experience in building a variety of products or processes and uses this experience in support of specific operational assignments.
- Possesses the leadership skills to provide direction and support of assigned team in the effective and efficient completion of production requirements and the team efforts in the continuous improvement of quality, cost and delivery performance.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Trained or certified in specific advanced skills such as welding, high voltage circuit wiring, machine or process troubleshooting or non-product build skills such as team leadership, quality problem solving, Safety, Lean Manufacturing, etc.

- The pay range for this position is $21.00 -$25.00 per hour. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications and premium geographic location.
