This position is in a group that provides monoclonal antibodies to support reagent manufacturing for in-vitro diagnostics.
This is a role well suited to an ambitious professional, looking for the next step in their career. As a Laboratory Technician 3, you will be responsible for:
Humanely handling and manipulating animals. Ability to inject animals and collect blood.
Performing care and maintenance of the animals to maintain compliance with Animal Welfare regulations
Monitoring health of animals, providing routine healthcare, maintaining animal health records and interacting with attending veterinarian
Ability to prepare basic dilutions and prepare immunogens for animal injections
Operating laboratory equipment and instruments and performs adjustments as needed
Performing laboratory work – processing blood, plasma and serum
Maintaining routine documentation to meet cGMP
Available to work weekend and holidays on a rotating basis
Required Education, Skills & Experience:
Physical ability to handle large animals up to 150lb
Physical ability to handle large 50lb sacks of feed and 50lb bales of hay or straw
Must be available to work weekend and holidays on a rotating basis.
