Siemens Global Business Services (GBS) is seeking a Business Line Controller. You will support Siemens GBS Business & Service Lines from a Finance perspective to drive profitable sales growth. Support Business Line Head, with financial analysis and identification of opportunities, to expand customer volume and drive process efficiencies. You will be responsible for full integrity of books and records for specified Business Line, and management of forecasting, planning, and closing activities.
This position reports into the Head of GBS NAM Finance and interacts with many layers of the organization including international team members.
- Together with respective Business and Service Line managers, drive efforts to secure orders from internal and external customers end-to-end from bid phase to contract execution.
- Set the general framework for price negotiations and are preparing offer calculations including profitability analysis in relation to the overall business case.
- Support contract negotiations with customers and lead the order management process.
- Involved in driving forward finance digitalization topics across the organization.
- Support execution of various internal functions, including risk management and compliance, business excellence, internal audit, procurement, and others to deliver world class business results.
- Interact collaboratively with all stakeholders both within as well as outside of GBS and handle third party relationships as needed.
- Willing to assume and complete ad-hoc / special projects and/or other assignments as delegated by management.
Required Education Experience and Skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration
- 5 plus years of Finance/Business Administration experience with financial analysis, forecasting, planning, and closing activities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills to interact appropriately with all levels of organization
- Ability to work in a fast paced and dynamically changing environment
- Knowledge of IFRS/GAAP
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills and understanding of strategic business goals.
- Demonstrated ability to form relationships and collaborate across global matrixed functions.
- Goals and results orientated
- Customer-driven and focused
- Ability to drive change management
- SAP experience preferred
- Travel < 10%
