POSITION OVERVIEW 

The main objectives of the role are to deploy Procurement according to outstanding targets, strategy and ensure implementation of Procurement standards, regulations, and guidelines. Other objectives are to ensure efficiency of Procurement operations, be responsible for targets and other performance indicators while leading a team. You will report to the Head of Logistics and will be a part of the Logistics Team. 

- The Procurement Manager will be responsible for delivering four primary important metrics: Savings, Customer Satisfaction, Free-Cash-Flow, and Process Improvement / Optimization/ Automation. Generating metric reports. 

- You will develop, implement, own and sustain the sourcing strategy for standard and expedited services in alignment with cross functional teams stakeholders’ inputs and feedback. As well as develop and drive Digital Optimization Initiatives across commodities in US and Region Americas. 

- Strategic Sourcing of in / outbound and third-party transports include: standard, expedited and special carriage. 

- We need someone with outstanding knowledge in demand management & data analytics and be willing to travel to internal customer locations (including internationally) to better understand the business requirements.

- You have solid understanding with US transportation markets. Including Mexico, Canada, Brazil, South and Central America. Ability to translate market intelligence into sourcing strategy and impact to Siemens. 

RESPONSIBILITIES 

This position is a strategic corporate role, where you need following skills to help the business: 

Procurement – Strategic Sourcing / procurement management skills, experience in creating RFQs, developing 3 to 5 year sourcing strategy and perform market analytics. 

Logistics/Transportation – functional understanding of the transportation industry, basic principles of supply chain management and the movement of goods, door-to-door and port-to-port. 

Analytical – ability to handle large amounts of data, perform detailed analysis to make decisions with scant data. 

Project Management – the ability to self-manage workload with minimal direction, set target dates, meet deadlines, follow processes, develop and implement commodity roadmap projects to achieve optimum results. 

REQUIREMENTS (Education, Skills and Experience) 

-BS/BA degree required. 

-Ten plus years of progressive experience in Procurement / Logistics / Supply Chain / Transportation. 

-Strong negotiation skills for legal contracts, framework agreements, discussing business terms, pricing as well as e-bidding and e-auctions. 

-3 plus years leading, coaching and mentoring both virtual and local teams.

-Highly proficient analytical and technical skills in MS Office Suite (especially Excel). Familiar with digital platforms (i.e. Concept Board, Alteryx, Tableau, and Power BI) 

-Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal & written) required. Ability to create PPT decks for presentations. 

-Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. 

-Willingness to travel both domestic & international (mostly Canada and Mexico) up to 30%

- The base salary range for this role is $135k to 167k. Base pay will vary based on market location, position-based knowledge, skills and experience. The yearly incentive target is 15% of the annual salary.
