Overview
This position is specifically for the DevOps Test team that is responsible for test architecture, infrastructure, testing and maintenance of our Continuous Integration (build, package, test) loop. Architect will oversee multiple product lines (PET and SPECT scanners)
We are a team of extraordinary, diverse individuals that
consists of DevOps and Test Automation Engineers. We are looking to find a Test Architect to
share our passion for software development and fit the fun, exciting culture of
the current team. Candidate will work
with a massive agile release train (spanning multiple countries) throughout the
development lifecycle to define, develop and deploy major diagnostic
medical equipment (SPECT-CT, PET-CT, and SPECT) product releases to our
customer base.
Job Responsibilities
· Assume technical responsibility for the Software Test Architecture roadmap.
· Document, maintain and promote test architecture and strategies
· Identify Risks and drive test strategy to mitigate those risks.
· Mentor software developers and stakeholders on good testing practices and test architecture in place
· Interface with internal partners including systems engineering, product management, project management and hardware
· Interface with external business partners including those in Germany, China and India
· Provide technical leadership through code reviews, engage in discussions, and voice your sound technical opinions to others
· Create and review technical documentation
· Collaborate with test engineers to design and implement software tests
· Demonstrate working code to stakeholders
· Relentlessly improve test strategy to ensure scalability, reliability, and quality for our continuous integration pipeline utilizing the cloud, virtual simulators, and physical prototypes
o Design, plan, and execute the test strategy for the software sub-systems working with the test leads and test architects
o Innovate to expand and enhance test automation
o Ensure the on-time delivery and coordination of DevTestOps initiatives in collaboration with architects and program managers to meet project deadlines
· Hands-on activities may be required to complete the project mission which may include programming and/or testing. Be prepared to get your hands dirty, if required
· Work with teams across time zones (Knoxville, Germany, and India)
· Take bold action to ensure there is a strong, diverse talent and leadership pipeline in place to meet aggressive business goals
· Develop, coach and engage people to higher levels of performance
Requirements
· Passion for software architecture and code quality
· Passion for code quality and automated testing
· Passion for software development and fast quality feedback cycle (CI)
· Preferred candidate would have strong programming (C#, Java) and testing experience
· Tech lead role in the test automation team with a minimum of 4 years of experience
· Bachelor's degree in technological or related field and a
minimum of 8 years of software development experience
OR
Master’s degree in technological or related field and a minimum of 5 years of
software development experience
· Test Automation Design/Architecture
· Strong Unit and Integration Testing techniques
· Experience with automation frameworks (Ranorex/Selenium/etc)
· Strong understanding of Agile/Lean leadership principles. Knowledge of the SAFe methodology is a huge plus
· Has strong planning, communication and presentation skills, and the capability to listen and influence. Excellent communications skills are an absolute must
· Ability to manage the workload for multiple simultaneous projects
· Preferred candidate would have experience in healthcare, or another FDA regulated environment
