What are the responsibilities and job description for the UX Designer position at Siemens?

About You:

You are a sophisticated UX Designer who can make 3D Simulation accessible to our customers. You care about our customers’ experience and have high emotional intelligence. You have some experience with 3D simulation or similarly sophisticated user interfaces that have 100’s of use cases. You are passionate about usability and have an iterative attitude towards user experience.

Responsibilities:
  • Making wireframes and mockups.
  • Understanding User Behaviors by interpreting UX research.
  • Performing Usability Analysis
  • An understanding of heuristics and usability analysis.
  • Create Low-Fidelity Interactive Prototypes
  • Create Journey Maps and use Persona analysis to build Screen Flows and State Transition Diagrams.
  • Present designs to colleagues and collaborate with implementation teams.
  • Write and maintain design artifacts to improve the overall design process.
  • Use an existing Design System and contribute change and improvement proposals.

Required Experience:
  • Degree or commensurate experience in computer science, engineering, or HCI with 3 years of post-academic experience in user experience design.
  • Expertise in rapid prototyping and visualization tools such as Adobe Creative Cloud, Figma, or Balsamiq
  • Experience using style guides, interaction pattern libraries, and components to produce low and high-fidelity design artifacts.
  • Experience working closely with product managers and product teams.
  • Complete UX skills: identifying customer problem statements, problem discovery, solution generation, concept creation, wireframing, testing, synthesis, iteration, prototyping, heuristic evaluation, customer journey mapping, applying design systems, and producing artifacts for development.
  • General understanding of HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript and how Web designs are implemented.
  • Ability to communicate sophisticated technical issues clearly and concisely

Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience:
  • Solid understanding of JIRA, Confluence and Zeplin.
  • Previous web UI development in HTML5, CSS3, or JavaScript.
  • Previous Computational Fluids or Structural Analysis Experience.
  • Master of Adobe XD from design to prototyping full UIs.
  • Master's Degree in Human Computer Interaction, Interaction Design, UX Design, or Ergonomics.
