Sierra Pallet has an immediate opening for an experienced Pallet Builders/Repairer. We are looking for hard workers who like being in control of their earnings. THIS IS A FAST-PACED JOB.
Job Type: Full-time Shift: Day Pay: $17/hour training period to Piece Rate (Most employees avg $22-29/hr on piece rate) Benefits Offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, PTO, Voluntary benefits, Monthly Bonus Program
Responsibilities Include:
Building pallets
Repairing pallets
Using Pneumatic Nail Guns
Quality checking lumber pieces, hammering nails that are sticking out, and replacing broken pieces
Sorting pallets based on quality, build, and size. (previous pallet building/repair experience is a plus)
Requirements:
A minimum of 2-years of experience using a Pneumatic nail gun.
Must have strong verbal communication
Punctual, this team member needs to be on time
Always ensures a safe work environment for self and others
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. continuously
Standing during the entire shift with no physical limitations
Occasional bending, kneeling, stooping, squatting
Must have verifiable references
Must be able to work the entire shift
Must be flexible to work overtime
Supplemental Info:
Training period of 1-2 weeks. Pay is switched to a piece rate and is based on the quantity and size of pallets built. The MORE YOU BUILD THE MORE YOU MAKE!
We are looking for someone who has experience in woodworking, preferably Pallet Building or Wood Framing.
Shifts are Monday – Friday from 7:00 am - 3:30 pm.
