Financial Controller

Sierra Alloys, a key supplier of Titanium sheet and plate products to the Aerospace Industry is hiring a Controller. We are looking for a hands-on Controller to execute, oversee, and evaluate day-to-day accounting activities. The candidate will identify, resolve, and report discrepancies while providing recommendations to maintain and improve overall performance. $130,000- $150,000 total compensation package.

Responsibilities

• Planning, directing, and coordinating all accounting operational functions
• Managing the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close process and preparation of financial reporting packages
• Managing the accumulation and consolidation of all financial data necessary for an accurate accounting of consolidated business results
• Maintain internal safeguards for revenue receipts, costs, and team and organizational budgets and actual expenditures
• Establish (in coordination with COO) financial and operating benchmarks, budgets, program monitoring, and reporting standards on biweekly, monthly, and annual basis
• Implement consistent accounting policies, practices, and procedures across all programs, adhering to national and local legal standards while remaining knowledgeable of proposed legislation
• Develop and enforce internal controls to maximize protection of company assets, policies, procedures, and workflows
• Coordinating and preparing internal and external financial statements
• Coordinating activities of external auditors
• Providing management with information vital to the decision-making process
• Assessing current accounting operations, offering recommendations for improvement, and implementing new processes
• Evaluating accounting and internal control systems
• Evaluating the effectiveness of accounting software and supporting database, as needed
• Developing and monitoring business performance metrics
• Overseeing regulatory reporting, frequently including tax planning and compliance

Qualifications

• 10 years of professional accounting experience.
• 5 years of experience as a senior-level accounting or finance manager.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Accounting or related field.
• Professional certification, such as CPA or CA.
• Advanced Computer skills with experience in Microsoft Office software.
• Experience in accounting, cost accounting, purchasing.
• Solid manufacturing based financial and operational knowledge.
• Demonstrated skills in leadership, operation planning and cost reduction.
• Excellent analytical and auditing skills. Proficient in verbal and written communications.
• Individual characteristics should include team oriented, flexible, and organized and possesses absolute work ethics and moral values.
• Ability to continually and constructively question and challenge the current practices and processes.
• Competencies should include: Innovation, management practices, leadership skills, judgment, and good initiative, attention to detail, team oriented.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $130,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
