Summary:

The Central Coast Market HIM Director is responsible for the overall organization and operations of the HIM Departments at Sierra Vista Regional Medical Center and Twin Cities Community Hospital, striving to align policies and processes between both facilities, where appropriate. Directing all functions within each Health Information Management Department (HIM) Medical Records, Coding, CDS and Release of Information. Assures that each HIM Department is compliant with all Federal, State, Joint Commission, and Tenet Policies are being followed. Serves as a resource for other departments for medico legal and all issues relating to the confidentiality, privacy, and access to patient health information. Prepares and administers the Department budgets and ensures all spending is within the budgetary guidelines. Develops and implements policies and procedures, supervises the daily operations and provides data and reports to other departments and/or agencies as requested. Performs other duties as required.

Qualifications

• B.A./B.S. or Equivalent in Health Information Management;
• 3 to 5 years experience in the daily operations of the Health Information Management Department in an acute care hospital setting;
• RHIT or RHIA Credential

Pay Range: $49.69 - $77.02

Individual wages are determined based upon a number of factors including, but not limited to, an individual’s qualifications and experience
