What we’re looking for: 

As a Security Analyst at Sift, you’ll be a key contributor in helping protect Sift and our Customers by using a wide variety of tools to help detect and investigate alerts, perform log analysis, evaluate and mitigate vulnerabilities, and contribute to Incident Response.. This high impact role will be part of the Security organization and will be accountable for delivering the security confidence that allows Sift to aggressively move forward, applying the highest standards to protect our customers.

You will have the opportunity to build both breadth and depth by working across security functions and helping mature the Detection and Response functions.  

What you’ll do:

  • Conduct daily operational tasks including monitoring logs for unusual or malicious activity, manage the detection framework (develop, investigate, evolve), assess and mitigate vulnerabilities.
  • Drive cross-functional efforts to drive security awareness and remediate security findings
  • Develop and mature runbooks and security best practices 
  • Increase effectiveness and efficiency of the Sift security framework through process automation and reporting
  • Provide an escalation point to for active security events by coordinating investigations, developing incident mitigation plans, forensics and post-mortem incident reviews with leadership
  • Contribute to Sift’s compliance and regulatory by driving tabletop exercises, collecting evidence, and participating in the audit process.

What we’re looking for:

  • 2+ years in an Security Operations Center, Analyst, or IT support role, preferably in a cloud environment.
  • Hands-on experience identifying, monitoring, communicating, and mitigating risk across the organization
  • Knowledge in developing, managing, and investigating security alerts through a SIEM platform including identifying data gaps and establishing new data pipelines
  • Knowledge in cybersecurity standards and privacy regulations: SOC2, PCI, NIST, GPDR, CCPA
  • Demonstrated solid communication skills to effectively manage security concepts across varying level of technical backgrounds and management
  • Proven experience developing automated solution

Bonus points:

  • Google Cloud Platform (GCP) experience, specifically around adopting and adapting out of box security controls
  • Bug bounty program development or participation 
  • Experience in helping drive compliance programs (SOC2, PCI, etc), risk assessments and developing privacy & security engineering principles and best practices
  • BS in Computer Science or related field
