- Open and close exam lanes and ensure all supplies are stocked.
- Communicate patient flow with the team to keep the schedules running on time.
- Maintain a clean and tidy work environment.
- Take patients' medical histories, perform workups, and perform ophthalmic diagnostic exams to obtain the information needed for diagnosis
- Sterilize instruments to maintain ophthalmic instruments or equipment.
- Help instruct the patient in the care and treatment of eye conditions
- Ensure all medical records are accurate and complete
Responsibilities include:
- Basic math skills
- Proficiency with computers, Microsoft Office, G-Suite products, and strong keyboarding skills.
- Flexibility to effectively work alone or in a team
- Demonstrated multitasking and adaptability
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Enjoy working with the elderly population
- Comfortable with communication via phone, internet, and in-person
- Maintain and follow HIPAA procedures and policies
