Sightline Hospitality is currently looking for the next great FOOD AND BEVERAGE EXPERIENCE MANAGER to help us with a soon to open Boutique Hotel and Bar in Moab! As Food and Beverage Manager you will help create the coolest café and bar.
WHO WE ARE
The hotel is completing a multi-million renovation of the Motel 6 Moab into a design-forward, luxury boutique hotel targeting outdoor and adventure seeking guests who prefer unique and authentic hospitality experience. Guestrooms are being completely renovated to a 4-star spec level. The lobby and pool area are being substantially upgraded and completely repositioned to include a full bar and café and activated indoor and outdoor common areas.

This position is very hands-on in the Café and Bar operations of this boutique hotel. Our ideal candidate is a warm "people-person" who is welcoming and friendly, dedicated, and energetic. We'd love to find someone who is passionate about providing great service and hosting our guests to Moab’s unparalleled access to outdoor resources including Arches and Canyonlands National Parks, the Colorado River, Dead Horse Point State Park, and the Manti-La Sal National Forest.

The Food and Beverage Experience Manager reports directly to the General Manager and will lead and manage the daily operations of the café, bar/lounge operations of the hotel to ensure the achievement of established beverage quality and guest service quality standards and departmental revenue and profit goals.
The Food and Beverage Experience Manager will be expected to promote and grow the business, lead talented colleagues, and ensure patrons receive excellent drinks, food, and service. You will also assist in planning promotional events, maintaining current licenses, updating vendor contracts, creating schedules, and setting business objectives to increase profits and maximize customer satisfaction. You will ensure that the bar and Cafe are aligned with the brand an ensure that the esthetics of the bar and café is maintained.
Our ideal candidate will be able to work with diverse personalities and diffuse tense situations. To succeed as a Food and Beverage Experience Manager, you should be observant and be able to think critically and efficiently. You should be a skilled communicator with excellent problem solving, observation, and interpersonal skills. You have a passion for what you do and most importantly you create memorable experiences for guests. The Food and Beverage Experience Manager is also expected to work with vendors and be up to date on market trends and changes in the industry.
What are Our Requirements:
- Five years of experience working in a bar/hospitality environment.
- Strong understanding of business management and accounting principles.
- Excellent technical, problem-solving, and customer service skills.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to diffuse tense situations and resolve conflicts.
- Willingness to work during peak hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Effectively delegate responsibilities and maximize resources.
- Decisiveness.
- Ability to walk, stand, and occasionally carry heavy items in a fast-paced, stressful environment.
