WHAT WE NEED:

Project Engineer (On-Site) - Mechanical

Sigma Engineers and Constructors is seeking an On-Site Project Engineer - Mechanical for an assignment at a client site in Plaquemine. This position will serve as the point of contact for several stakeholders both external and internal to our client possessing a good balance of technical and management skills. The role of this position is to develop and manage capital projects.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute small capital projects to deliver timely, economical, and safe completion.
• As the Project Leader, the Project Engineer: - Acts as the liaison with operations - Develops and manages project scopes and schedule- Estimates and controls cost- Defines and coordinates the work of engineering disciplines, both in-house and contract- Prepares procedures, specifications, and bid packages- Specifies, requisitions, and expedites materials and equipment- Coordinates construction and turn-over to operations.
• Proven ability to handle multiple projects ranging in size from $10K to $2MM.

WHO WE NEED:

• Graduate engineer with 3-10 years or more of project engineering experience. BS Degree in Engineering preferred.
• Minimum 3 years' experience in chemical or Petro-Chemical plant with experience.
• Field experience with installation of chemical plant equipment.
• Must be able to develop strong relationships with project sponsors, stakeholders, outside engineering, construction, and equipment supply firms.
