Summary:
- Occupational Therapists at the VNH screen, evaluate, re-evaluate, and treat patients as well as coordinate and communicate treatment activities with our interdisciplinary team members and the patient.
- The Staff Occupational Therapist is responsible for managing patient caseloads in all clinical settings from screenings and evaluations through discharges.
- Compliant with State and Federal Regulations.
- Active participant in Interdisciplinary Team approach to patient care.
- Provides the necessary billing documentation for billing purposes.
- Communicate effectively with physician, other members of rehabilitation team and others as indicated regarding treatment plan and patient response to plan.
- Counsels patient and family according to degree of disability or impairment.
- Completes all required documentation thoroughly and in a timely manner.
- Participates in educational programs and in-service meetings.
- Maintains established policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance program, safety, environmental, and infection control standards.
- Attends meetings and in-service sessions, as directed. Requires regular attendance and punctuality. Performs other duties as assigned
- Must be a licensed Occupational Therapist in Vermont and New Hampshire, or hold a compact license.
- BS in Occupational Therapy or postgraduate Occupational Therapy Certification program. Passage of National Registration Exam.
