Heavy Vehicle Service Technician

In your role as a Heavy Vehicle Service Technician you will serve as team member responsible for executing a wide range of vehicle movement and maintenance functions IAW Army Regulations, policies, and procedures. As a member of a team, you will use your experience and knowledge to ensure vehicle and material handling equipment readiness across a range of activities associated with supply chain management. Your position will report to the Section Lead and is one part of a multi team effort to support different customer requirements.

Primary duties will include (but not limited to):

• Perform PMCS on various military and civilian vehicles and material handling equipment.
• Supporting various customers by moving and positioning large and small vehicles and trailers.
• Ensuring an accurate inventory and maintenance status of all items in your functional area.
• Track and schedule load testing and annual services for a wide range of equipment.
• Managing all items with appropriate care.
• Assisting with training of newly employed workers, as required.
• Must be diverse and able to fill other roles or duties as needed, or assigned.

Required Experience:

Qualifications:

• 3 Years of experience in any Military Occupational Series Automotive or Ground-based weapon systems or material maintenance specialties.
• Class A or B Commercial Driver's License required.
• Must have Secret Security Clearance.
• Experience working with established processes and procedures.
• Ability to plan, organize, and re-prioritize work to meet changing deadlines.
• Ability to solo lift 25 pounds to shoulder height safely, and team lift 50 pounds safely.

Desired Skills:

• 3-5 years' experience safely operating material handling equipment (Forklifts, pallet jacks, etc.) and large vehicles (26-foot trucks, etc.).
• Automotive Service Excellence ASE Certification preferred.
