What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sign Maker & Installer position at Sign D' Sign?
Main responsibilities include driving a company vehicle to client locations and installing signs that need extensions. These professionals also change bulbs and paint different sign parts. They need to work well in a team setting with other installers on big projects to finish all sign objectives in a timely manner. They report their progress to the sign installation supervisor in their department. They use different structure, manual, and power tools on a regular basis to install objects. They use protective gear when placing items on different environments.
Sign installers attend different installation and safety workshops to stay up to date on different procedures. Installers should be able to climb and work at high altitudes, depending on the project. They verify that all equipment follow company and government regulations. Sign installers have the ability to stand on their feet for long periods of time and are capable of heavy lifting on a constant basis. They possess strong communication skills to interact with customers in deciding which is the best course of action regarding placement of signs. A high school diploma is necessary for this job. Previous experience as a sign installer can be helpful. Safety certifications are a plus
