Job Description
We are seeking a Marketplace Manager to join our Tennis Express team in Houston, TX. The Marketplace Manager will report to our Merchandising Operations Director. This role will be responsible for managing our third-party online marketplaces, such as Amazon, eBay, Walmart, Facebook, Target, etc. We are looking for a self-starter that has a passion for retail and ecommerce and for serving our customers.
EXAMPLES OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Help define and execute the strategy for ongoing rapid and profitable growth across Marketplace sales channel
- Lead the internal Marketplace team and manage the day-to-day relationship with our content management tool (familiarity with Channel Advisor a plus)
- Manage all aspects of the Marketplace channels including forecasting and reporting, listing / keyword / creative / store optimization, campaign / keyword analysis, inventory planning, brand registry, reviews, performance metrics, agency performance, CX, etc.
- Conduct high quality analysis to develop accurate forecasts, identify issue root causes, identify performance growth and additional platform opportunities
- Develop plans for key sales periods including Prime Day
- Help oversee and coordinate FBA inventory planning and shipments working in collaboration with the Operations team
- Monitor account health, performance, and resolve issues that may arise including order fulfillment and customer service
- Keep up to date with seller best practices, tools, technologies, and proactively generate ideas on how to improve performance
- Work closely with Customer Service to ensure all account needs are met
- Oversee monitoring of customer user generated content (reviews, Q&As) and facilitate response working with the brands and the Customer Service Center
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business or related field, or equivalent experience
- 3 years of experience managing online marketplace retail operations, best practices, and guidelines (Amazon, Walmart, Facebook, Target, etc.)
- Knowledge of best practices for scaling and optimizing Marketplace businesses including strategy, forecasting, listing, keyword, creative optimization, testing, research, and agency management
- Strong business acumen and ability to analyze business trends and results, and to resolve complex situations
- Excellent business intuition and ability to understand/solve complex problems
- Monitor account health, performance, and resolve issues that may arise, including order fulfillment and customer service
- Ability to work collaboratively and cross functionally in a fast-paced environment where the ability to influence and build relationships is critical
- Strong interest in racquet sports a major plus
- Organized, proactive and results oriented
