Signal Group, a top modern public affairs agency located in D.C., is looking for an ambitious, organized, and responsible Operations Associate to join the Operations Team. This role will be at the center of managing the day-to-day operational needs of the agency, building trust amongst staff and maintaining positive company culture. The Operations Associate will interact with many teams across Signal such as finance, senior management, communications and digital.
The ideal Operations Associate is interested in growing in a career within Business Operations at an agency. This role reports into the Vice President of Operations.
The Operations Associate’s responsibilities will be split into three main categories: General Operations, Financial Tracking, and Office Management.
What You’ll Do:
- Assist with the development and enforcement of company policies and standard operating procedures.
- Managing weekly timesheet submission process and time tracking data.
- Manage Revenue Tracker including data inputs and ongoing analysis.
- Support Finance and Operations on accounts payable and expenses.
- Assist with client conflict checks and managing compliance requirements.
- Assist with hiring needs by posting open positions, tracking applications and scheduling interviews.
- Assist with general office management including supply inventory, meeting preparation, catering, and internal event planning.
- Perform administrative duties and analysis in support of the Operations Team.

Qualifications:
- 1 – 2 years experience in an administrative or operations related role; supporting senior level management.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills; experience working in Excel or Google Sheets is a must.
- Proficiency in data entry into software and/or spreadsheets.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent listening skills.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.

Signal’s office is now open, and employees may work remotely; however, this position is based in the Washington, D.C. area. This position is required to come into the office three times a week.
