Signature Automation is a professional engineering services firm with offices in Dallas, San Antonio, and Houston, Texas. We are a rapidly growing firm specializing in all aspects of electrical, instrumentation and controls (I&C) design, industrial control system programming, and IT infrastructure design, networking and consulting services.
We are currently seeking a full-time mid-level automation design engineer to join our team in the Dallas office.
Essential Functions
Perform industrial control system assessments and prepare preliminary design reports (PDRs)
Develop detailed technical documentation such as project plans and specifications, engineering reports, etc.
Support senior staff in development of Opinion of Probable Construction Cost (OPCC)
Perform witnessing of field acceptance test (FATs) and field inspections
Mentor junior staff
Ability to travel up to 20%
Qualifications/Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Computer Science
Certification as an Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or Professional Engineer (PE) or ability to obtain licensure within 18 months of hire
Minimum of 3 years of related experience
Familiar with design documents including data sheets, instrument drawings, I/O wiring diagrams, loop drawings, and P&IDs
Experience in water/wastewater preferred, but not required
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
AutoCAD and MicroStation experience preferred, but not required
