No previous jewelry related work history? That’s okay! We are offering extensive, paid training to make you an expert in diamonds and jewelry pieces. R2Net is a diamond bridal jewelry company with a technology soul. With James Allen as the retail face, R2Net handles the business operations and provide solutions to diamond partners through servicing a supply chain platform that connects manufacturers, retailers, and consumers. This unique program gives you an entry point to a career in jewelry by guiding you in taking steps towards becoming a James Allen Certified Quality Control Inspector and helping you maintain the highest level of skills required in the diamond industry. This is a unique opportunity to get into the world of jewelry with little to no experience. We are looking for people who are excited and eager to learn. Quality Control Inspectors will work closely with our team of experienced Gemologists learning the ins and outs of diamonds and diamond and jewelry inspection. The courses, tasks, and resources provided to you in our Quality Control Training Program were created to give you foundational knowledge, skills, and on-the-job experiences you need to become a James Allen Certified Quality Control Inspector. The year-long apprenticeship will be broken up into 3 parts: I. Classroom training II. Shadowing a GIA trained gemologist III. Practical Exam IV. On the job learning Responsibilities: • Learning all about diamonds—everything from diamond history to identifying marks and inclusions • Learning how to inspect completed jewelry pieces • Learning how to use tweezers and a loupe • Learn how to use our order management system • Apply everything you have learned about diamonds to inspect our beautiful diamonds and jewelry pieces How to know if this apprenticeship is for you: • You are fascinated by diamonds and fine jewelry • You have little to no previous diamond/jewelry experience • You enjoy mastering new skills and working with your hands • You thrive in a fast paced environment • You are goal-driven and an independent self-starter • You are able to maintain excellent attendance Pay for this role is $17.50 per hour.
