We have an entry level position open for a Financial Technician to join our rapidly growing company. This newly created position will provide financial analysis support to the Comptroller. The ideal candidate will have an Associate’s Degree or two (2) years’ experience preparing funding documents, maintaining spreadsheets, and preparing reports. Opportunity to telework, with meetings conducted in Silver Spring, MD.
Job responsibilities:
- Provide information management support to the Comptroller
- Research lines of accounting (LOA) issues using STARS-FL and other data sources
- Develop and maintain databases, spreadsheets, reports and forms as needed by the Comptroller
- Assist with conducting quarterly reviews to ensure all databases, spreadsheets, reports, and forms are up to date and electronically available
- Assist with outstanding reconciliation validations
- Prepare outgoing funding documents for Financial Analyst review
- Identify and recommend proper lines of accounting to be assigned
- Run daily and ad hoc reports
Successful candidates will have the following experience:
- Interim clearance, with ability to obtain a secret clearance
- Strong MS Excel (required) and Access (preferred) experience
- Strong analytical and communication skills
Salary : $45,000 - $55,000
