This summer internship in Machine Learning Research is part of Signify Research located in Burlington, MA, a center of excellence on Artificial Intelligence and Machine learning Innovation for Signify. The team works together with the Signify global Research, businesses, and functions on AI/ML. Its responsibilities are at the heart of driving AI/ML innovations for systems, new IoT propositions, and innovative apps. If you are someone who always comes up with great ideas and ready to use your creative mind to solve practical problems, this internship role may be for you. You will learn and apply new cutting-edge techniques that will be rewarding for your career. With a great freedom to innovate, you will play an active role and grow yourself on AI and ML.
The desired duration is from May/June to August/September 2023.

Build innovative Deep learning applications that unlocks the potential of our Connected Lighting Systems. Below are some of the activities:
Develop supervised/unsupervised deep learning algorithms for time series event classification.
Detect outliers and abnormal events from the time series data with different modalities.
Optimize the algorithm and build a demo to show event detection and recognition.
You are...
Open minded, curious, and innovative and aligned with our company values and aims. You bring the following experiences and competencies:
PhD or master student whose research focuses on Bayesian inference and machine learning.
Good software engineering skills with C, Python, Java, etc.
Experience with a deep learning framework such as SKLearns, PyTorch, TensorFlow, Keras, etc.
Experience with time series data and algorithms, like audio, video, brainwave mental state classification, etc.
