Join the Greenville, South Carolina F-16 Production Engineering Team as a Test Engineering Principal to support stand up and development of the F-16 Test Engineering Team. The selected candidate will be responsible for the technical application and execution of test requirements across our build. Solid communication, technical skills, the ability to work independently, and drive other organizations, are essential for success. There is an expectation to ensure no gaps exist from engineering definition of aircraft systems tests to planning and implementation. Candidate will represent the organization across all levels including Senior Leadership to provide status and communicate solutions to complex testing constraints. Will be expected to conduct high-level (Director / VP) presentations and briefings. Candidate will fully own all technical execution aspects of test requirements across F-16 Production.

Must be a United States citizen. Must possess an active Secret Security Clearance.

Basic Qualifications:
The following Basic Qualifications are skills that a candidate must possess to be considered for this position:

  • Fighter Flightline experience
  • Documented experience as Test Engineer or Manufacturing Engineer
  • Leadership experience
Desired Skills:
The following Desired Skills are not required but are those skills that would set a candidate apart from other candidates:

  • F-16 Flightline experience
  • Experience leading teams
  • F-16 Testing Experience across all competencies (electrical, hydraulic, systems, etc.)
  • Positive/self-starting attitude that is not slowed by perceived roadblocks
  • Ability to coordinate and influence across a broad range of stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to drive closure and resolve complex, large-scale technical issues/challenges
  • Proven experience in developing strategies and translating them into action and results
  • Demonstrated ability for decision making in uncertain environments
  • Hands on experience on F-16 platform

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
