The Multi Functional Manufacturing Associate Manager position manages more than one functional area of manufacturing, such as sub-assembly, major assembly, final assembly and test of the Mars Ascent Vehicle Integrated System (MAVIS).
Additional responsibilities include:
• Assists in management and adhering to safety, quality, cost, schedule, technical and programmatic requirements and performance expectations.
• Accomplish results by utilizing multi-functional team, including Technicians, Quality Assurance, Manufacturing and Test Engineering, MRP/Parts Production Control, and Finance to meet program needs.
• Staff and manage technical proficiency levels to ensure a trained, qualified, skilled workforce.
• Foster customer relations, building rapport and confidence between Prod Ops, Program and Customer.
• Foster an environment where the diverse talents and perspectives of our people power innovative solutions for our customers and drives business success.
• Interact across all levels of the organization; efficiently and effectively communicate and implement agreed upon changes; navigate difficult situations and conversations to a productive outcome.
• Engage in proposal, estimates and/or concept of operation development.
• Manage the day-to-day Missile Assembly Integration and Test areas of Manufacturing.
• Keep current on new, innovative processes, tools, or infrastructure.
• Lead team in developing solutions to complex problems which require the regular use of ingenuity and creativity.
• Manage activities concerned with technical developments, scheduling, and resolving engineering design and test problems often seen with new designs, program startups and first article builds.
• Manage the build process and compliance for engineering principles, company standards, customer contract requirements, and related specifications.
• Manage direct and indirect budget
• Manage a team of 5 direct hourly and 10 indirect support employees
• Manage and approve employee(s) timekeeping in SAP
• Travel to other sites as needed to support manufacturing.

Basic Qualifications:
• A full spectrum leader with demonstrated ability to work with multiple levels of executives and first-line management, industry peers, and internal and external customers.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and manage budgets, cost, quality, and schedules.
• Experience leading Operational Excellence Teams or Performance Management Team processes and metrics (CPI, SPI.)
• Ability to read and interpret integrated master schedule.
Desired Skills:
• Experience working NASA programs
• Cost Account Manager (CAM) experience.
• Writing or reviewing proposal Bases of Estimates (BOEs).
• Experience presenting to senior government and/or Lockheed Martin leaders.
• Familiarity with Lockheed Martin Space Systems or industry equivalent processes (Earn Value Management Systems, Cost Accounting, Non-Conformances, FFMEAs, FOE/FOD, ESD).
• Familiarity with Lockheed Martin Space Systems or industry equivalent tools (MRP/ERP/SAP, EPDM, VECAMS, PMP Database, etc.)
• Lean Manufacturing experience and/or Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certifications.
• Experience with Electro Static Discharge (ESD) and Ordnance Missile Assembly, Integration and Test (AI&T) operations.
• Proven Leadership and Management of Aerospace and Manufacturing products.
• Proven communication skills between Program, Engineering and Manufacturing.
• Proven production in flow troubleshooting skills.
• Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 9 years of professional experience; or 7 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree. Considered an emerging authority
