Marketing Assistant
Position Overview
Silex is looking for a dynamic and fast paced individual to join the marketing and event efforts of our team. This individual will be driven and incredibly organized. They will excel and grow in multiple areas including marketing and design, social media, event planning, partner relations, and community involvement. The Marketing Associate will assist the Operations Manager to plan and execute events, drive social media presence, participate in user groups, and bring forward creative ideas to drive success. This individual must have an aptitude and voracious appetite to learn ever-evolving concepts in the IT industry.
Job Description
- Promote Silex’s reputation as “Best Place to Work” through Digital Marketing
- Manage Silex’s social media presence and track/measure analytics
- Uncover new ways to enhance Silex’s presence within the IT community
- Manage events/conferences under the supervision of the Operations Manager
- Support partner relationships and assist with partner/customer events
- Assist with tasks alongside the executives and sales representatives
Skills/Qualifications
- Marketing, website, social media, and/or graphic design skills
- Ability to research, analyze, make data-driven decisions, and initiate improved marketing efforts
- Aptitude and desire to learn new technologies and business concepts
- Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Google Docs
- Impressive communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent grammar and typing skills
- Time management skills and ability to multi-task while ensuring accuracy
- Capable of working autonomously with little supervision
- College Degree – Marketing/Advertising preferred
- Interest in the IT industry
*Preferred that candidate live close to the Nashville, TN area, but not required*
