Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Perform preventative/predictive maintenance to all production equipment as required
· Work side-by-side with experienced technician during equipment repair and learn smart/safe work practices
· Complete small electrical and mechanical projects based on direction given from Team Lead/ Supervisor
· Demonstrate safe work practices and follow company safety policies, procedures and regulations at all times
· Initiate and complete all other jobs, projects and special assignments as directed by Maintenance Supervisor
· Ensure compliance of all Company policies
· Maintain personal compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and recommend measures to improve health and safety
· Work within a team environment and interact with all areas of production effectively
· Repair and replace electrical/hydraulic/pneumatic and electronic components such as motors, contractors, relays, timers, types of switches, PLCs, light curtains, motor controls and valves under direction of Team Lead/ Supervisor
· Recognize and diagnose faults on electrical equipment or systems, which may involve complex interlocking, interrelated circuits, integrated systems and complex sequencing
· Examine, install, replace and repair electronic wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, feeders, cable assemblies, lighting fixtures and other electrical components
· Maintain production equipment to maximize operating performance and assist with maintaining electrical spare parts’ inventory levels
· Perform repairs on equipment to restore them to proper and safe work conditions under direction of Team Lead/ Supervisor
· Perform installation, set up, modification and relocation of equipment to accommodate or improve production requirements
· Read electrical and electronic schematics/diagrams, basic hydraulic and pneumatic diagrams
· Test electrical and electronic equipment and components for continuity, current, voltage, and resistance
· Ensure production schedule is not jeopardized due to machine break down, or unsafe operating conditions and inform Team Lead/ Supervisor about changes in electric circuits and update original diagrams
· Always follow LOCK OUT procedure on unsafe machines/machines being serviced
· Adhere to work orders, preventive/predictive maintenance systems by filling in required forms,
Technical Skills:
· Troubleshooting experience with electrical & mechanical equipment, PLC systems, Robots, AC drives, DC drives, servo drives, motion control, HMI interface, motor controls, safety sensors, and relays
· Able to read wiring diagrams, electrical/mechanical/pneumatic/hydraulic schematics and ladder/function block logic
· Theoretical knowledge of industrial PCs and PLCs (Siemens Step 7, Beckhoff TwinCat, etc.) and electric circuitry consisting of contractors, relays, main voltage/control voltage, limit switches and proximity sensors
· Knowledge of Computerized Maintenance Systems (CMMS) an asset

Education and Experience:
Required:
· Minimum 1 year of experience with strong problem-solving skills
Preferred:
· At least 1 year of experience in a fast-paced manufacturing/industrial environment with multiple priorities
· A certificate from technical trade school, Military experience in lieu of or related subject
Physical:
· Noise Exposure: Elevated levels: 75% of time
· Repetitive Motions: 90% of time
· Standing: 80% of time
· Lifting: Up to 75 pounds 10% of time, 50 pounds 15%, > 25 pounds 25% of time
· Walking: 15% of time
· Outdoor Exposure: >10% of time
