Before heading off to school, come work for the largest producer of metal food packaging in the United States! Silgan Containers-Oconomowoc is seeking 4 summer students to help with our production needs this summer.
Explore the can manufacturing industry in a fast-paced environment. Openings on 1st shift (Monday-Friday 6 : 00 AM-2 : 00 PM) or 2nd shift (2 : 00 PM-10 : 00 PM).
Salary : $20.01 / hr with $1 / hr shift premium for 2nd and 3rd shift hours (2 : 00 PM-6 : 00 AM).
Essential Job Functions :
- Various clean-up tasks, product sorting, and filling in for operators when needed
- Perform palletizer operator functions using semi-automatic equipment to stack finished products on pallets
- Other duties as assigned by management
Job Requirements
- Ability to read and comprehend directions
- Ability to write, add, subtract, multiply, divide, and use of decimals fractions
- Ability to speak and understand English
Experience / Education :
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 18 years of age
Physical Requirements
Ability to push, pull, bend, stoop, climb stairs, and lift 30 pounds on a regular basis
