Silgan Closures in Evansville, IN is hiring a Maintenance Supervisor.
As the Maintenance Supervisor, you will be expected to meet or exceed safety requirements, quality standards, efficiency, administrative functions and cost savings efforts. You will successfully supervise the Maintenance team to develop and assure economic and uninterrupted continuity of the manufacturing operations. We hope you apply today!
What you will do:
- Work directly to lead and train the employees in the plant to identify and implement continuous improvement process initiatives.
- Optimize quality, line efficiency and safety within the assigned work areas.
- Develop, manage and maintain a Preventative Maintenance system for the assigned areas of responsibility.
- Document standard work and best practices for the assigned areas of responsibility.
- Work directly with other members of plant leadership as necessary.

What you will need to have:
- A Bachelor's degree from a 4 year college or university. Technical degree preferred. In lieu of a Bachelor's degree, we will consider an equivalent combination of technical education and relevant maintenance/supervisory experience.
- Supervisory experience managing and maintaining a maintenance program in a manufacturing environment.
- The ability to work a schedule capable of covering all shifts. Weekend work will be required as necessary.
- Proficient computer skills in a Microsoft Office environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Customer/vendor interface in this role is required.
- Mechanical, electrical and facility operating systems knowledge.
