- Maintain timely deliveries to our customers while focusing upon the company's productivity objectives.
- Receive your route assignment and the company provided Van & Smartphone/GPS device
- Perform a pre-trip vehicle inspection thoroughly checking the van for damage.
- Follow all delivery instructions as directed by the customer
- Responsible for picking up and delivering mail to customers
- Ensures that the mail is reviewed for proper dates, presort slugs and a pickup slip is attached with each order prior to loading the truck
- Keeps vehicle, production floor and area clean
- Able to handle a stressful environment with multiple. and conflicting demands.
- Maintain valid licenses and endorsements required for the position.
- Maintain positive and friendly customer relations at all times.
- Complete necessary paperwork for customer billing.
- Perform proper pre and post-trip inspection and write up any defects and clean out vehicles at the end of route
- Ensure safety, timeliness, and accuracy of all role requirements.
- Flexibility to work extended hours as necessary
- Maintain professional representation of the company in all interactions with customers and through responsible driving
- Abide by all company safety policies and state and federal transportation regulations
- Handle potentially materials, following appropriate safety procedures.
- Use and help to maintain equipment, including air compressors, powered hand tools and leak detectors.
- Assemble, set up, inspect and test equipment on basic operation and maintenance.
- Able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Successfully handle and deliver packages on time
- Assist, as needed, in loading trucks (performing warehouse duties including wrapping pallets, stacking trays and loading trucks)
- Timely transportation of product from origin to destination as assigned
- Properly conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections and provide documentation upon completion; ensure proper closure of trailers
- Properly secure loads
- Maintain required documentation, including daily logs, vehicle inspection records, mileage, unloading and shipping records
- Maintain documentation for customer pickups such as collecting signatures and tracking
- Properly secure loads.
- Possibly help other drivers as needed (rescue)
- Load and unload products from company vehicles
- Complete all required safe driving programs, abide by applicable motor vehicle laws and demonstrate safe driving practices at all times.
- Arrive at our distribution facility by the required time
- Climb out of vehicle and walk up or down stairs as required in all weather conditions
- Ability to stand multiple hours a day and work in a physically demanding environment
- Work with support team to provide exceptional customer service and address customer concerns
- Ability to function calmly and efficiently in high-pressure, multi-tasking environment
- Deliver packages in variable locations and stops
- Assist, as needed, in loading trucks (Performing warehouse duties including wrapping pallets, stacking trays and loading trucks)
- Perform accurate inventory of shipment
- Follow local and state driving laws and road regulations
- Operate handheld scanner (to record shipping and package information)
- Return van to the station after refueling it for the next day (company will provide a fuel card)
- Return Smartphone/GPS scanner device and keys; debrief with manager
- Perform post trip inspection noting any required maintenance items
- Responsible for ensuring all vehicle documents are complete and up to date and available in the truck.
- Includes insurance, registration inspection logs, gate passes and other documentation as required by law as well as personal identification.
- Strictly adhere to all corporate HR protocols and procedures.

Pay: $840.00 - $1,140.00 per week
