Silver Birch Living is adding a Regional HR Partner to our growing HR team. Silver Birch has seen 100% growth over the past two years with additional growth planned. This is a great opportunity for an HR professional looking to grow with a great company!
The Regional HR Partner will travel to Silver Birch communities in Kokomo, Muncie, Terre Haute, and Evansville on a weekly basis.
The Regional HR Partner will collaborate with the Vice President for Human Resources and the Regional Talent Partner to drive employee engagement and retention with the goal of Silver Birch being an employer of choice.
The Regional HR Partner will be responsible for the following items:
- Provides HR support in each assigned community on a weekly basis;
- Leads and facilitates training and development initiatives including New Employee Orientation, Customer Service Training, Manager Training, and assist with company-wide Leadership Development training;
- Ensures the employee experience is consistent with Silver Birch Living’s mission and values;
- Coaches managers on performance management and progressive discipline matters, provides support for disciplinary actions and terminations;
- Supports employees at assigned communities including holding office hours with an open door, provide education on benefit options, and address employee concerns;
- Manages unemployment claims for assigned communities;
- Manages Workers’ Compensation claims for assigned communities;
- Liaises with HR Coordinator on leaves of absences at assigned communities;
- Back-up for community-level Business Office Manager for HR related responsibilities including payroll and associated tasks;
- Serves as an employee ambassador; maintains a pulse on the engagement levels at the communities; participate in community-specific employee events and activities; makes recommendations for programs to drive Silver Birch Living to be an employer of choice;
- Assists in developing retention strategies and programs; identifies ways to promote an excellent employee experience.
The successful Regional HR Partner will have the following qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Three (3) or more years of experience in an HR role, including leading orientations and employee training sessions
- Experience in a multi-site or senior living environment is preferred
- Valid Drivers License with good driving record
- HRCI or SHRM certification, preferred
- Strong presentation skills including ability to effectively facilitate small and large sessions engaging all participants
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including active listening
- Ability to build strong relationships with internal and external contacts
- Strong customer service orientation
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products and web proficiency
- Ability to travel up to 80%, including overnight travel
