Description
Position Summary:
Develop and maintain the most shelf space and best shelf positioning for our products within all off-premise accounts based on the retailer needs, sales, and company goals/objectives using the most current marketing technology and data.
Job Duties:
Interfaces with and services designated retail accounts and sells in all new packages and brand introductions.
Informs accounts of local and national market and industry trends.
Secures the best location within account constraints in shelf space (warm shelf, singles bins and cold box) for our products in each account.
Establishes and maintains excellent working relationships with decision makers in key B & U and other retail accounts.
Coordinates and communicates shelf space opportunities by generating reports from IRI data and/or utilizing Margin Minder to support all shelf set increases, decreases, new packages, and brands sold to determine opportunities.
Educate the appropriate sales personnel on the proper placement of new products and/or SEBev brands.
Use creative selling techniques to secure and deliver incremental space increases over competition. Make sales pitches on a weekly or monthly basis to retail accounts to sell in resets.
Makes recommendations to the appropriate sales team member on shelf set benchmarks and methods to increase sales through space management programs.
Interfaces with the sales team and participates in ride-withs to uncover space opportunities and sell in new shelf sets.
Instruct appropriate sales personnel in space management software and technology used to manage and measure SEBev space.
Work with sales team to reset retail shelves, coolers and bins after sets are drawn and agreed upon to ensure proper product placement, assisting on-site as required.
Track space increases/decreases by supplier and brewer after each set is completed.
Work closely with sales team to hit weekly, monthly and annual space reset objectives to ensure SEBev product allocation.
Address space accuracy issues on a monthly basis
Collaborate with sales team to coach, train and update on shelf set benchmarks.
Follows and strictly enforces all supplier and Silver Eagle Beverages standards.
Adheres to all state and federal anti-trust legislation.
Keeps the Vice President of Sales, Regional Managers and Category Space Manager informed of new competitive products and packages, strategy and technology.
Completes supplier surveys, planograms, accuracy reports, retail and supplier file maintenance, ongoing updates of reset results tracking and other reports on a monthly basis and any other necessary reports as requested.
Attends weekly sales meetings for the respective location(s).

Minimum Qualifications
High School or GED required. Bachelor Degree preferred
2 years previous sales experience in food/beverage industry preferred
2 years Space Management software experience strongly preferred.
Intermediate skills in MS Word, Power Point and Outlook and proficient on Excel
Proficient in Margin Minder
Strong attention to detail and follow-up skills
Excellent planning and organization skills
Must have a cell phone with data capability
