Silver Leaf is a full-service design-build firm specializing in residential design, remodeling and new home construction. We have been remodeling and building homes in the Madison area since 1990. Your helpful disposition will be important as you handle day-to-day bookkeeping functions and provide office support as needed. Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills are important to our team. Knowledge of daily accounting tasks such as financial reporting, general ledger entries, recording payments/adjustments, banking transactions, and maintaining files and documentation in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices

Responsibilities and Duties:
- Accounts Payable
- Vendor statement reconciliation
- Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and delinquencies in a timely matter
- Uphold internal controls around payment of invoices including required approvals from various departments within the company
- Accounts Receivable
- Collections (minor)
- Prepare deposits
- Payroll via Intuit
- W9 administration
- 1099 preparation
- Sales & Use Tax Reporting
- Bank & Credit Card Reconciliation
- Generate monthly and quarterly reports
- Prepare for year-end close out with accounting team
- Inventory tracking/management (minor)
- Construction Draw requests and lien waivers
- Rental forms, rent rolls and related paperwork
- Support onboarding of new vendors/subs by confirming appropriate paperwork
- Insurance Audit paperwork
- Back up of other administrative tasks and projects
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Strong numerical aptitude and attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize assignments, adapt to changes, and multi-task when needed
- Demonstrated ability to effectively coordinate, organize, schedule, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks to follow-through and meet deadlines
- Excellent verbal, written, oral, and interpersonal communications skills
- Positive attitude
- Embraces critical thinking and problem solving
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience working in a paperless environment or willing to learn
- The ideal candidate will possess an associate degree in accounting
- QuickBooks Pro 2021
- QuickBooks Intuit Payroll
- Construction industry experience a plus
Education:
- High school or equivalent
- Associates Degree and or 3 years of full charge bookkeeping preferred
Experience:
- QuickBooks: 3-5 years (Preferred)
- Bookkeeping: 3-5 years (Preferred)
Core office Hours:
Monday through Friday 8-5 (flexible start/end time)
