Job Title: Warehouse Associate I - Forklift
Location: Romeoville, IL
3rd Shift:
Sunday: 7:00pm - Until Finished (10-12 hours Sunday)
Monday - Thursday: 8:00pm - Until Finished(8-10 rest of week)
Pay Rate: $18.25/Hr. ($17 $1.25 diff) for those with less than 1 year of experience
Pay Rate: $19.25/Hr. ($18 $1.25 diff) for those with 1 to 3 years
TRAINING: ONE WEEK will need to work 1pm-9pm, Mon-Fri.
After training week will report to regular shift
Will be issued a badge and yellow vest while onsite
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Under direct supervision, handles and maintains the flow of materials and products in warehouses with varying degrees of automation according to established standards. Performs in accordance with established safety standards and adheres to all safety policies, rules, regulations, and procedures. This position generally requires some previous experience in the Warehouse Associate role, cross-training in various areas of the warehouse, forklift user certification, and a proven low rate of errors in the Warehouse Associate role. There may be additional specific criteria required at the local warehouse location for promotion into this role. This position is categorized as compliance critical and, as such, requires and is assigned specific responsibility for ensuring continual and proper compliance with all division, corporate and regulatory requirements.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Requirements are pulling cases for orders and cases to replenish stock locations
Ø General areas of responsibility include a combination of one or more of the following duties: receiving, picking, and staging customer orders, returns, shipping and inventory organization, management, and control.
Ø Verifies merchandise received against record of shipment, inspects and reports discrepancies and any obvious defects.
Ø Stocks shelves, ensuring materials are in their designated areas.
Ø May use a radiofrequency (RF) device to aid in picking or packing stock and/or other inventory tasks.
Ø Assembles customer orders from stock by pulling items from shelves and placing them in totes to be packed and shipped. Identifies
Ø quantities and customer specifications.
Ø Enters orders, returns and related data in the computer system.
Ø Inspects returned items and returns merchandise to proper shelf in the warehouse.
Ø Accurately completes daily inventory counts and researches discrepancies.
Ø Assists with inventory procedures as requested.
Ø May perform controlled substance picking, stocking, replenishment and order fulfillment in a cage/vault or refrigerated environment.
Ø May use forklifts, reach trucks and/or other motorized equipment to move inventory.
Ø May assist in training new associates.
Ø Performs related duties as assigned.
IMPORTANT SKILLS:
Ø Able to work in climate-controlled facility.
Ø Ability to read and understand the English language
Ø Able to work in a fast-paced environment while meeting distribution standards.
Ø Motivated, hard-working and dependable; attendance and punctuality are very important.
Ø Able to work the shift hours listed above, plus overtime. (Overtime in most Distribution Centers is mandatory to enable real-time delivery)
Ø Able to perform repetitive and manual tasks on a consistent basis.
