What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Technician position at SIM REI?
SIM REI is a full service real estate company that is looking for a maintenance technician for our property management division. We are looking for a thorough, detail oriented Maintenance Technician to undertake the responsibility to preserve the good condition and functionality of our many properties. You will perform maintenance tasks of great variety such as painting, HVAC repairs, plumbing, appliance repairs, etc.
Responsibilities
- Conduct building and property assessments and make repairs as needed per our management contracts.
- Perform maintenance of electrical systems (replace light bulbs and sockets, clean and repair/replace circuit breakers, etc.)
- Maintain heating and plumbing systems to ensure functionality
- Inspect alarm systems (fire, protection) and schedule repairs when needed
- Perform manual repairs when necessary (fix locks, replace windows etc.)
- Conduct general upkeep procedures and other tasks as assigned (painting, carpentry etc.)
- Assist in budget preparation and ensure it is followed
Skills
- Proven experience as maintenance technician
- Basic understanding of electrical & plumbing.
- Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods
- Working knowledge of tools, common appliances and devices
- Manual dexterity and problem-solving skills
- Good physical condition and strength with a willingness to work overtime
- Certificate in HVAC, building maintenance technology or relevant field will be a plus
Requirements
- Good driving record - Company truck will be provided while on the job
- Pass Drug & Background Check
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Maintenance Experience
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour

Experience:
- Maintenance: 5 years (Preferred)
License/Certification:
- Driver's License (Required)
